Six Month Coaching to Complete Your First Draft of 60,000-80,000 words

This package will help writers who work best when they have accountability, structure, and big-picture feedback. The goal is simply to complete a first draft, to get that novel out of your head and onto the page! I will guide you by setting deadlines, asking clarifying questions, pointing out weaknesses and strengths, encouraging you, and sending you links to resources targeted to helping you improve your writing. 

Michael Crichton says, “Books aren’t written – they’re rewritten.” Between your first draft and your finished manuscript are many, many hours of revision. When you are finished with the Story Writing package, you will have a solid first draft, which you can then revise until it is exactly what you think it should be. Remember, you can’t revise a blank page. You must begin somewhere. The Story Writing package gives your story a jump start.

Note: This package is only for those who have completed a Story Planning package. You will need a completed Blueprint to begin the Story Writing program.

*Additional coaching may be added on a month-to-month basis as needed.

As you write, we’ll clarify:

  • who is your protagonist and what motivates them

  • what narrative voice you will use (and consistently use it) 

  • what you are trying to say

  • where your story starts and ends

…and much more!

When you complete this six-month program, you will have

a solid first draft that is ready for the next step…revision!

  • An initial consultation via ZOOM to review your previously-completed Blueprint for a Book

  • Twelve deadlines of 20 pages 

  • Written feedback delivered within three days of each deadline

  • Twice a month 30-minute ZOOM calls

  • Unlimited email access for the duration of program

  • A final consultation to establish your next steps in revising your book!
